With 2 Bag-A-Nut units my grandkids picked up about 40 # of nuts in less than 15 min.  They started under this one big tree that had been mechanical picked but had since dropped a lot of nuts. We took the hoppers back to town and sorted the trash out the next day and had 20# in one and 19# in the other.  The cleaner the ground the easier it is to pick up because you don’t pick up so much trash. We usually mow the grass short before the pecans start to fall and take a leaf blower to blow off the leaves if there are a bunch of them. This beats crawling around on your knees since some of us can’t do that any more.

We had a young man rent one for a day and half and picked up over 600# of pecans.  With good trees that are fairly clean under that is easy to do.
